Description

jam pedals dyna ssor JAM Pedals Dyna-ssor – Guitars RebellionThe JAM Pedals Dyna ssor is a compressor type pedal directly inspired by the mythical MXR Dynacomp which was one of the first in pedal format available on the market. Widely used by American musicians (country, LA and others) in the early 70s, and pioneered using an operational transconductance amplifier based circuit; that allowed generous compression with a "squashy" attack and excellent dynamics despite having a relatively poor signal to noise

The JAM Pedals Dyna-ssor is a compressor type pedal directly inspired by the mythical MXR Dynacomp which was one of the first in pedal format available on the market. Widely used by American musicians (country, LA and others) in the early 70s, and pioneered using an operational transconductance amplifier-based circuit; that allowed generous compression with a "squashy" attack and excellent dynamics despite having a relatively poor signal-to-noise ratio (yes, it was blowing hard!). There followed a lot of clones and improved versions like the Ross and others. The Greek brand offers us here its own version with all the qualities of the original, but without the flaws.

Externally it is a JAM Pedals, it has a hand painted finish. Each pedal will therefore be slightly different from one copy to another. The controls couldn't be simpler and more intuitive: A Level which controls the output level and a Sustain which allows you to adjust the compression/sustain rate.
Inside, we have a quality PCB which only confirms the great care that our Greek friends bring to the manufacture of these pretty, colorful pedals. On this PCB, we find the original OTA, a NOS CA3080 and selected components.

Connected to a very dynamic clean channel, the Dyna-ssor proves to be a very transparent compressor, while retaining this characteristic color. In a nutshell, it's kinder to your signal. Sustain button at zero, it is totally transparent, which is really rare for a "guitar" compressor. Unlike the original, it does not blow, but really not (that too is rare). It offers a nice dynamic with progressive compression and it's characteristic very "squashy" attack. It can be used as a classic compressor as well as a boost. If you're a fan of sounds like Landau, Lukather, Mike Thompson and others, you can even leave it on constantly with a setting slightly above "unity gain".

For those looking for a simple compressor with a nice 70s / 80s typed compression, this is the best. Flawless manufacturing, small footprint and affordable price. Nothing to say, it's all good!

Whatever…
Format: Paperback
The worst in the series until they come out with a Rise of Skywalker one… heaven forbid! Still, decent art. Better than the actual movie. 😂

It is not so accurate.
Format: Paperback
Well, this is feedback by my son. My son loves Star Wars and I bought it for him and he read it almost immediately! I knew he would love it, and he did! He loved the artwork and the way the author drew the characters. But he didn’t like one thing. Here’s what my son said: I don’t like how they cut a lot of stuff out from the movie and made it short. They cut a lot of FN-2187s fight with phasma. And I don’t like how the author cut the battle on Crait very short! But, then again, the story was very accurate to the movie.” I know many people like Star Wars, but if your planning on buying this comic, I would think twice. It leaves out some pretty big parts of the movie.I think this deserved four stars.

Good Christmas gift for family members.
Format: Paperback
I got this as a small gift for a fellow Star Wars fan in my family for the holidays. We both like chatting it up when it comes to Star Wars and I thought this graphic novel would do the trick for a small gift. It was great!! The illustrations are detailed and follow the movie plot closely which is good.

Worth every penny
Format: Paperback
Great adaptation. Art is outstanding, story is true to the film but with added depth and insight. Really nice book. My kid loves it, thumbs through it almost every day and we’ve already read through it together a bunch of times.

Just solid
Format: Kindle
The art is decent and the narration is structured, yet it’s not the best story of the sequel trilogy, but it’s definitely better than Rise of Skywalker in my opinion.
